Cagayan de Oro City Fiesta 2011 Schedule of Activities

Once again the Feast of Saint Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of the city, will be commemorated this year. Lots of activities are now lined up by the City Government, City Tourism Office and other stakeholders.

Below are among the schedule of activities:
Kagay-an Festival Run

• Date: August 21, 2011
• Time: 5:00 AM
• Categories: 2km, 5km and 10km, 21km run

Start and Finish line will be at the Divisoria Kiosk. Cash Prizes winners, medals and certificates shall be given to all participants.

Ms. Kagay-an Coronation Night

• Date: August 24, 2011
• Time: 7:00 PM
• Venue: Atrium of Limketkai Center

PE Rhytmis Dance Festival

• Date: August 25, 2011
• Time: 1:00 PM
• Venue: Pelaez Sports Center Complex

Participated by different schools of Cagayan de Oro City.

Kalo Parade Competition

• Date: August 25, 2011
• Time: 1:00 PM
• Categories: Individual and Corporate

Start at the Divisoria Kiosk walking towards the Pelaez Sports Center Complex.

Folkloric Dance Competition: “Plowtawo” and Dance Showcase

• Date: August 26, 2010
• Time: 8:00 AM

A “Plowtawo” dance technique choreography shown along the main city streets that ends with a tableau presentation at the Pelaez Sports Center Complex. Open to all Cities and Municipalities, Barangays, Government Agencies, Schools, Cultural Communities or any other community or Organization.


3rd SM City Kagay-an Pyro Festival

• Date: August 26, 2011

It's a Fireworks Competition with 7 participants , which were Fireworks manufacturers from Dumaguete City, Cebu City, Manila, Bocaue Bulacan, Iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City

50th Golden Float Parade Competition

• Date: August 27, 2011
• Time: Morning
• Location: along the main city streets
• Cash prizes:
  1st prize – P150,000;
  2nd Prize – P100,000;
  3rd Prize – 50,000.

Civic-Military Parade

• Date: August 27, 2011
• Time: Morning
• Route:
  Start at the Rodelsa Circle
  Passes through Velez St. and National Highway
  End at the main road of the Limketkai Center

Halad sa Lambagohan

• Date: August 22 to 28, 2011
• Location: Rodelsa Circle

Open to the public free of charge.

Kahimunan Regional Trade Fair

• Date: August 22 – 28, 2011
• Location: Limketkai Mall Rotunda
• Highlight: One-Town, One-Product (OTOP) of the different cities, municipalities, and provinces of Region 10.
