CAGAYAN DE ORO NEWS ONLINE - Xavier University (XU) has selected Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions (PECS) to transform the school’s Information Technology (IT) processes while upgrading existing systems for student administration.
The world’s leading student system and alumni development solution for higher education, PECS will replace the Enrolment Information System (EIS) that XU has been using in managing students for several years.
As XU aims not only to manage the academic records, entry and reporting of student grades, PECS will also manage the key components of the student lifecycle from the earliest recruitment stage, admission, enrolment, student activities, graduation, up to alumni relations in support of XU’s educational apostolate and the missions of teaching, research, social outreach and apostolic formation.
The student lifecycle management and information system will be beneficial to XU as it supports the future of an online campus which connects people, data, and systems across departments and campuses to improve service and reduce costs.
The system would manage the entire lifecycle seamlessly at all levels and campuses in a secure, stable environment to support XU’s academic mission and goals by streamlining productivity and optimizing resources and provide a self-service functionality for all campus users.
The student management and information system is an integrated system for managing all student related services and business operations.
The web-based architecture will simplify the school’s maintenance and support future growth, following the following modules:
PeopleSoft Enterprise Student Administration, PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Community, PeopleSoft Recruiting and Admissions, PeopleSoft Enterprise Student Records, PeopleSoft Enterprise Academic Advisement, PeopleSoft Enterprise Student Financials, PeopleSoft Enterprise Student Financial Aid, PeopleSoft Enterprise Gradebook, PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Self Service and PeopleSoft Enterprise Contributor Relations.

This project will be deployed by Techlogix, a Platinum Partner of the Oracle Partner Network.
