Actor Robin Padilla Visits “Sendong” Victims In Cagayan de Oro; Gives P500 Each



CAGAYAN DE ORO NEWS - Philippines movie action star Robin Padilla made a surprise visit at the flood-prune areas of Cagayan de Oro City on Christmas Eve and reportedly handed them down Five Hundred Pesos each, according to a local radio report.

Padilla first visited Magnum Radio Broadcast Center and led in the countdown for Christmas, and he then answered several questions raised by media personalities of said radio station before conducting his unique version of gift-giving, directly handing down sum of money to the flood victims who were already asleep, while some are also on the eve of eating their little food for the Noche Buena. 

In a related development, Cagayan de Oro Mayor Vicente Emano had earlier reported his office has already received donations in cash amounting to more than Thirty Million Pesos. “We have also located a relocation site for these victims in Sitio Calaanan and we have started buying construction materials,” hes said in vernacular.

As of presstime, those who donated to the City Government were as follows: Sen TG Guingona, P1 Million; Cong. Manny Pacquiao, P1Million; Davao City Mayor Duterte, P1Million; Chinese Chamber of Commerce, P1 Million; Albay Gov Zialcita, P 500,000; Ako Bicol Party List, P250,000; among others.

It was also learned that many countries have already pledge to give donation to the Philippine government after hearing the tragic death of over a thousands people in Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, and some other towns in Northern Mindanao.
