THE much needed dredging of the Cagayan de Oro River will start soon according to Vice mayor Dongkoy Emano.
In a press statement, the vice mayor said the project is necessary to avoid flooding problems during heavy rainfall.
‘Masugdan dili madugay ang pagdredge kon pagpalawom sa cagayan de Oro River aron usab kini dli mo-awas panahon sa kusog nga ulan nga dakong kahasol sa atong mga igsoong kabosnga anaa nagpuyo sa kadaplinan,” he explained.
Emano said Cagayan de Oro City mayor Constantino Jaraula is determined to implement the project.
‘Gihingusgan karon ni Mayor Jaraula ang pagdredging sa suba sa dakbayan og may gikasabot na siya nga grupo alang niini,” he added
