CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY– An estimated Php2.8 billion worth of Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects have been implemented in the Agrarian Reform Communities (ARC) of Northern Mindanao, as of March, this year.
Engr. Felix Aguhob, Regional Director of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), region 10, said twelve (12) of these projects amounting to Php1.58 million have already been completed while six (6) others amounting to Php1.22 million are still on-going.
Consisting of capital, as well, as technical assistance, these completed and on-going projects have actually benefited some 49,550 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) in 108 Agrarian Reform Communities (ARC) of the region, he said.
Meanwhile, Aguhob said the completed projects and their amounts are as follows: Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project (ARISP) 1, Phr146.4 million, ARISP II, Php221.35 million and DAR-Asian Development Bank-ARC Project, Php577.93 million.
DAR-Community Marginal Areas, Php10.51 million, World Bank-ARC Development Project 1, Php427.75 million, Solar Power Technology Support Program (SPOTS) 1, Php49.89 million and Support to ARC in Central Mindanao, Php142.53 million.
Technical assistance for the completed projects included those for the Rural Agricultural Support and Credit Programs (RASCP), Technical Support to Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (TSARRD), United Nations Development Project-Support to Agrarian Reform Indigenous Communities (UNDP-SARDIC) and Philippine-Australia Technical Support to Agrarian Reform and Rural Development (PATSARRD).
On the other hand, the capital assistance for on-going projects included those of the World Bank-ARCDP II, Php439.40 million, Mindanao Settlement Sustainable Area Development (MINSSAD), Php521.82 million, Northern Mindanao Communities Initiatives and Resources Environment Management Project (NMCIREMP) -IFAD, Php123.08 million and SPOTS II, Php140.51 million.
The technical assistance for a Swede survey in 24 ARC’s, benefiting 12,377 ARB’s is also on-going, the DAR-10 Regional Director added
