PDEA -10 operatives arrest Misor dad, wife for shabu

ALUBIJID, Misamis Oriental – Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested during a buy-bust operation a barangay official and his wife at their house in Alubijid town, this province, for drug related involvement.

PDEA 10 regional director PSupt. Oliver Enmodias, identified the suspect as Rey Anthony (Loloy) Fabre, an official of Barangay Tugasnon, Alubijid and his wife Virgie (Inday) including a certain Arnel (Bimbo) Badones.

The three suspects were arrested because of their involvement in drug related cases. They were already under surveillance for several months before the arrest came at the barangay official's house.

An agent of the PDEA who posed as buyer handed down a marked money amounting to One Thousand Pesos (P1,000) which was immediately followed by the arrest of the suspects few minutes later when the operatives immediately swooped down and raided the house for sufficient evidence.

PDEA agents gained back the One Thousand marked money plus 13 sachets of suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia after the arrest of the suspects .
Investigation disclosed that said Barangay Official was also arrested of the same drug related activities by members of the Philippine National Police in 2005.
Supt. Enmodias said there will be no bail bond recommended for the suspects as their case is criminal.
Meanwhile, the PDEA regional director also revealed to the media that drug trafficking is also rampant in Gingoog City and Balingoan town in Misamis Oriental. He did not elaborate.

Enmodias also alleged the sources of Shabu are still Ozamis City and Marawi City and transported to different areas in Mindanao .

Based on surveillance and intelligence reports, the source of Marijuana, which is also a prohibited drug used by small time users in Northern Mindanao is Talakag, Bukidnon. The town has been the subject of the biggest raid of marijuana plantation in the past years.
