Rep Benaldo Releases P5-Million For the Poor

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY NEWS – City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano thanked Rep. Jose Benjamin Benaldo of the city 1st Congressional District  for releasing funds for livelihood, assistance to the city’s less privileged sector.
           This, after Rep. Benaldo released Php5 million to the city from his congressional fund.
         The mayor said this will be used to assist the city’s marginalized sector:  Php150,000 will go to the livelihood program of the Lupong Tagapamayapa and Php350,000 for the poor patients admitted at the city-run J.R. Borja General Hospital.
           The other P4.5 million will be spent to provide relief to poor families in terms of food assistance during typhoons and disasters, feeding program, medicines, and even for burial assistance.

         “Kining maong mga hinabang, tipik lamang sa daghang mga proyekto nga gilusad karon ni Rep.  Benaldo (this money is only some of the many projects of Rep. Benaldo in the city),” the Mayor said. (CIO/PIA-10)
