Aileen Yap crowned Miss US International

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A Fil-Am based in the US was recently crowned Miss United States International 2009 and she will be able to represent the country during the 49^th Miss International beauty pageant that will be held on November 7, 2009 at a resort in Macau, China.

The 20 years old Ms. Aileen Jan Valdehueza Yap won the most coveted title on July 10 at the famous Stafford Conference Centre in Houston, Texas.

Aileen, who is fondly called “AJ” by friends, is the proud daughter of Dr. Romeo Sy Yap and Virgincita Valdehueza Yap of Cagayan de Oro whose roots also come from Balingasag and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
