The Family Planning Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (FPOP) Misamis Oriental Chapter, has elected its new set of officers Sunday at a local hotel.
To serve the chapter for the next three years are Catherine C. Fonollera, president; James Gregor I. Asuelo, vice president; Perla Daumar, secretary; Bernardo Taguic Jr., treasurer; and Pat Ryan Gaid, auditor.
Also elected were directors Rey Abejo, Dr. Jose Cabuguas, Melba Cayetuna, Apple Mae Cañete, Joe del Puerto Felicilda, Nora Lim, Elvigia Parel; Rhian A. Salcedo, Psyche P. Paler and Rosie Realda.
They were sworn into office by Councilor Aaron Neri, president of the Cagayan de Oro City Federation of Barangay Councils.
A product of UP Los Baños, College of Agricultural Economics, Fonollera has been a consistent officer of the FPOP Misamis Oriental since 1992. She held the position of treasurer before her election to the top position in the chapter.
She will head a three-man official delegation to the FPOP Annual General Membership Meeting in Metro Manila, July 31 this year.
FPOP is a non-government organization (NGO), with more than 20 offices and clinics nationwide. It is a member of the London-based International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF).
Serving the new and current family planning acceptors, Mondays through Fridays, is the FPOP chapter clinic at corner 22nd St., Nazareth and Osmeña St., Cagayan de Oro City. - (Joe del Puerto Felicilda)
